The A Leg to Stand On, is the company that I have profiled since the beginning of the semester. Gabriella Mueller, the program director has provided me with the footage below to really get a grasp of the mission that this organization plans to uphold.
"The mission of A Leg To Stand On (ALTSO) is to help transform the lives of children with limb disabilities in developing countries by offering them the physical capabilities to access the opportunities and self-esteem earned through education, work and mobility. Our core program of Training, Treatment, and Therapy is offered through partnerships with in-country organizations - organizations that let us meet the local community halfway. Our partners match our contributions, and thereby cover a significant portion of our service costs."
